Sponzo Interiors, a full-service interior design studio based in Essex, Connecticut, has announced its custom furnishings and millwork services, spanning furniture design, upholstery, and built-in cabinetry.

-- Sponzo Interiors has announced that its custom furnishings and millwork services are available to residential clients throughout Fairfield County, Greenwich, Essex, and nationwide.
More information about the services is available at https://www.sponzointeriors.com/
The announcement follows a broader shift among high-end homeowners toward artisan-crafted custom furniture and away from mass-produced pieces, according to Home Renovation Trends 2026, in an industry report on U.S. renovation activity. Sponzo Interiors seeks to address this demand, offering furniture built specifically for a client's home rather than sourced from retail inventory.
Sponzo Interiors describes its work as spanning furnishings, renovations, and full-home transformations, including built-in cabinetry and millwork, all delivered with hands-on execution from concept through installation. The studio also offers custom furniture design, space planning, and reupholstering, along with kitchen and bathroom renovations and project coordination with architects and builders.
The team explains that the process for each home renovation project moves through four stages: Discovery, Design, Execution, and Reveal. The Discovery phase involves learning a space's scope, existing conditions, timeline, and budget, along with understanding the client's goals for the project. In the Design stage, the studio develops a space planning proposal before moving into detailed concept work, including material schemes, color palettes, and lighting.
As the next step, Execution involves producing documentation such as specification packets and construction drawings for builders and architects, alongside sourcing and coordinating furnishings. The process concludes with Reveal, a full furniture installation once construction work is complete.
Sponzo Interiors is led by principal designer Stephanie Sponzo, who founded the firm in 2020 and is a registered Allied Practitioner with the American Society of Interior Designers. The studio has been featured by NBC Connecticut, where Sponzo offered viewers guidance on creating a collected, bespoke look for the home, and by Connecticut Magazine, in a feature on a condo renovation near downtown Fairfield.
"I started this firm to challenge the belief that interiors need to be neutral or passive in order to be beautiful. I know that great design has the power to transform how we feel every day — and that pushing subtle boundaries can turn a home into a source of joy and meaning," says Sponzo.
